The changing of the seasons often surprise us.  We expect to be sad when fall arrives as the leaves die on the vine.  But we find joy in the annual harvest and anticipation of another great vintage.  The ever-changing colors of the leaves continually surprise and delight us.  Winter arrives with wind and rain and the branches lay bare in hibernation.  We know that spring and summer will come again just as a river flows after it was frozen.  It is a seasonal feast in the vineyard.
